39

How far along: 39 weeks, 5 days
Weight Gain: Somewhere around 34lbs
Best Moment this week: planning on when we will meet Baby Baylor (in case he doesn't come before then)!
Food Cravings: I have been craving some fattening foods like fries and burgers this week. And of course sweets.
Movement: still lots. I think I will miss this most about being pregnant. Feeling this life inside of me moving around all the time is such a miraculous feeling.
What I am looking forward to: meeting my sweet baby boy!
Workouts: Still lots of walking,  I have maintained my 3-4 times per week.

We went to the doctor on Tues and had an ultrasound to see how big Baylor is. The doctor was concerned how high up he is and that he hasn't dropped or made any progress yet. Apparently, according the the ultrasound (which we realize is not always correct!) Baylor is in the 83rd percentile. He is a big boy! My doctor has arranged for us to come in on our due date, this Sunday to labor and delivery and they will start to induce labor. He feels waiting another week (which is the latest he will let me go) may not make a difference due to his size and my lack of progress thus far.  I will be given medicine Sunday night to hopefully progress things and they will fully start to induce Monday morning. We are soo excited to finally be able to meet our sweet baby and ask for everyone to please keep us in your prayers for a safe and healthy delivery!

38

Technically, I am 39 weeks today, but I took this pic yesterday so here is the run down for week 38!
How far along: 38 weeks, 6 days at the time of this pic
Weight Gain: 32lbs....let's hope he arrives ASAP so I don't have to keep adding to this number!
Best moment this week: Date night with the hubs last night, our last one for a long time (most likely)
Food Cravings: this has not changed and I assume will not, sweets!
Movement: Still lots and lots. I have heard that the baby slows down a day or two before birth sometimes, so if that's true he isn't coming any time soon....
Milestones: We are a week away!
What I miss: not having to pee every single second
What I am looking forward to: The time I stand up and my water breaks. Or the contractions are so painful we have to go into the hospital. Yes, I am wishing pain on myself!
Workouts: 4-5 times this week. I have been a walking fool, since I hear it can help move things along.

37

How Far Along: 37 weeks, 6 days
Weight Gain: 31lbs
Sleep: Still sleeping well, thankfully
Best Moment this Week: Celebrating Easter and knowing next year we will have an almost 1 year old with us to hunt for Easter eggs and get an Easter basket for!
Food Cravings: nothing new, still sweets and bad food. Like cheeseburgers. Yum!
Movement: Tons. I read that you feel the baby move the most around the late 20 weeks, I am going to have to disagree and say I feel him way more now than ever!
Milestones: We are FULL TERM!! He can come any day!
What I miss: being comfortable. It's not easy lugging this big ol' belly around.
What I am looking forward to: meeting my sweet baby!
Workouts: 4 times this week. I have been a walking fool! Trying to walk this baby out now!

Cankles are cool, right?

One symptom of pregnancy that I thought I missed was the swelling. HA! Was I wrong.

With the heat making it worse, I have befallen to frequently having fat feet, ankles, and even legs. It's funny because you can't feel being swollen. You just look down and are like "woah!".
Don't worry, my blood pressure is fine, just a normal symptom of pregnancy--doc says all is fine.

Here's a pretty normal looking ankle for me (a good ankle day ;) )....maybe still just a tad bit of swelling:

Annnddd my cankle and swollen...well, everything. Don't worry, I rested these puppies immediately and the swelling went down.
Doesn't it look like someone who weighs like 300lbs?? Crazy!

Dega Baby

No, this post is not at all about babies, don't let the title fool you!

A couple weekends ago, we went with my father-in-law Bob to Talladega Motor Speedway where he was able to drive an actual Nascar race car. I must admit at first I didn't know what to expect, I was just going to show my support, but it ended up being a lot of fun and a neat experience.

We got to go onto pit row which is in the infield of the race track. None of us are big Nascar fans, but there is something neat about being on such a famous race track and seeing just how big it is!

Bob took a short class about driving the car and then waited for his turn to drive the car. There was an area where family and friends could hang out and sit and watch their 'drivers' while they raced around the track. We brought chairs and drinks and tailgated while we waited and watched.

Getting ready to drive

Ryan, Matts brother made a sign that said "Go Ricky Bobby". It was hilarious!

This is Bob driving--he got up to 170 mph!!

So if anyone is looking for a unique and thrilling gift for a loved one in the Alabama area, they may want to get them this Nascar Experience (aka the Dale Jarrett Experience). Bob loved it!

How Far Along: 36 weeks, 5 days

Workouts: None this week! Went from 6 to 0! Hopefully this week coming up will be better!

How baby takes over....before even being here

Besides already taking over my blog, my body, my emotions, and the majority of my conversations, baby Baylor has already begun to take over our whole house. Not just like, oh yeah he has a nursery, like everywhere you look he has stuff and he isn't even here yet.

Here is proof that baby takes over, before even arriving. I can't imagine what our  home will look like once he actually arrives....in a few weeks (!)

Evidence 1: under the sink in the guest bath is tons of baby lotion, shampoo, medicine (gas drops anyone?), and health supplies. He has a huge bathtub which is currently sitting in the actual bathtub.

Evidence 2: This is the guest room closet. In it is all of his toys and stuff we will use once he arrives and/or gets old enough. Such as the highchair, swings, play yard, bouncers, etc.

3: On our counter top waiting to be used is our bottle warmer and grass drying rack thingy. We also now have a large drying mat out as well.

4: In our hallway closet-- tons of blankets, towels, washcloths, and burp cloths.

5: We have made room for bottles and bottle washing supplies in our kitchen cabinets. We also have drawers full of bibbs.

6: The big ol' pack n play that sits by the bed constantly reminding us that soon we will have someone who will sleep there.

It is hard to believe just how different our lives will be in just a few weeks. Things are already so different, I can't imagine how much more it will be. But it will be totally worth it and is so exciting! Baby Baylor we are ready for you to arrive! We just want you to wait until you are ready as well! :)
